The congress was visited by about 7000 delegates from all European countries and from many other countries in the world. The UEGW in the premier gastroenterology congress in Europe and might challenge the Digestive Disease Week in the United States in the coming years. In 2004 this congress will take place in Prague, and in 2005 in Copenhagen - Malmoe.
