Lymphoma of the Rectum

Primary lymphoma of the large intestine is often situatated in the rectum or in the caecum. This picture is from a patient with a lymphocytic lymphoma in the rectosigmoid flexura region.

Often the lymphoma is generalized at the time of diagnosis, and the patient may have enlarged intra-abdominal lymph nodes seen on ultrasound and lymphnodes in other areas.

This is a small lymphoma in the sigmoid colon in a patient with a generalized lymphocytic lymphoma.
